MY WORK
A few of the instruments I've worked on recently
ABOUT ME
I'm a qualified guitar technician with nearly a decade's experience working on all sorts of string instruments. After completing my NVQ-2 in France at ITEMM (the European Institute for Technical Professions in Music),
I came to London, where I managed the workshop at Wunjo Guitars in Denmark Street for five years.

During Covid-19 I stopped working in Denmark Street as all the shops were closed and started my own business.

Over the years I've worked on really cool vintage instruments but also new guitars and basses including well-known American brands such as Fender, Gibson, Martin, Rickenbacker, Gretsch, Guild, but also lesser-known cool brands such as Vox, Hofner, Eko, Harmony, Kay, Hagstrom, Ovation, Burns, Silvertone, Airline, Mosrite, Danelectro, Ampeg, Steinberger, Kramer and Japanese stuff like Teisco, Guyatone, and many more...

While I love old stuff, I'm happy working on any instrument to make it great to play. Most of the time people don't know that a good setup makes for a much better playing experience.

I do setups, fret dress, shaping new bone nuts and saddles, electronic repairs and pickup replacements, and more extensive jobs like refreting, crack repairs and neck break repairs.
I service and repair classical, acoustic and electric guitars, basses, resonators, lapsteels, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles. I've also worked on less common string instruments from all around the world. If you have a string instrument and want it looked at, send me a message - I'd love to take a look.
SERVICES & PRICING
Here are quick descriptions of the services I offer followed by few starting prices. These are indicative prices and might be adjusted to suit your needs.

Restring
This is a simple restring assuming that your instrument is already setup and you only need to change the strings. It includes the cleaning of the fingerboard and oiling if necessary, stretching the strings for stability and settling the new strings and tuning.

Starter Setup
This is the setup you need when you just bought a new instrument, especially from an online shop. Your new instrument might have been factory setup but sitting in a warehouse and in transit is not the best way to get the best out of your instrument. This is why the Starter Setup is the best way to make your new instrument really good to play and adjusted to your needs. It is also always a good idea to have your instrument checked by a professional just after purchased to make sure everything is right.

Complete Setup
By far the most common service that people need for their instrument as it covers everything. Every instrument needs it now and then to stay in good condition and keep the best playablility. Depending on how much you play and how well you treat your instrument (often meaning playing it a lot and gigging all around town), you might need this TLC at least once a year to keep it at its best.
